Highland Lilac Perfume began in 1967 with Dan Morgan, a horticultural student from the Rochester, NY area. He commissioned International Flavors and Fragrances, the world's leading creator of fragrances, to capture the true essence of the lilacs at Highland Park, home of the Lilac Capital of the World Lilac Festival. Skilled perfumers combined the rare perfume oils from the lilac buds and lilac blossoms of many of the 550 lilac varieties at Highland Park, resulting in a lilac fragrance with a fresh lilac scent and sensual dry down found only in Highland Lilac Perfume.
